Since her fren luv anything that Pink, I try to match the colors so the cupcakes have an adult looks...I am worried if too soft it will lead into something childlike or if too many colors it will make the elegant of women adult looks gone.

So finally I decide to bet with pink plus black combined together.

rried me...how if the Hello Kitty face did not looks like...not enough cute...I was really stress during the preparation.

But finally somehow I made it...until now this is one of my best succeed in making figurine that looks like the real character...hehehehehshehe so happy...

The based cakes was Lapis Surabaya special cakes for

special occasion, it requires 36 egg yolks for 3 layers 20cm cakes..

..no wonder it's special yeah...

It's been a while since my last update...most of my creation could be found at my Facebook account...so busy lately..so it's been quite hard for me to keep updating 3 places at the same time...

This cake was made early on 2011...to be exact this was made for 28th January 2011...(wow...how fast time flies)

The one who request this cake was my sis best fren, she want to give surprise for his beloved only son...after some short discussion, she wished me made a cake with CARS theme plus 20 cupcakes to accompany it.

In 2 days, I really try my best to finished the request hehehehehehehe

She said that her son luv my creation...thanks God..I made it hehehehehehe

Another white cake romantic, ordered by my friend Libby for her parents anniversary day...so sweet yeah...

Since the idea of color too much for them (consider their age and time consuming etc), Libby asked me to make plain white cake. She ordered at 21st January for tomorrow evening party...ouch such a rush...

Before I planned to create a rose white bouquet, but since the time did not available to let the roses dry enough... I change my plan to make it more like my personal style, line and curve touch....

The base cake is vanilla with blueberry filling...I hope your parents love it Libby as much as I did..

This is one of toughest cake that I ever accept for order...I open order for this cake only for celebrate special day such as Christmas, Chinese New Year and Hari Raya...

It tooks 4.5 hours to finished 1 cakes...fiuhhh...so tired...

But the taste definitely awesome...with so many egg yolks this cake really perfect for 'hantaran' to celebrate great season holiday and spec date :)

This cupcake set order by my best friend lil bro for his college best friend.

The main idea of this cupcake is the speedometer that represent his friend car, and since it still have left with so many space, he asked if he could add a car, his friend plate number, and everything that could represent Suzuki swift car (the b'day man fav car).....fiuhh quite hard...

I used to make girly and cute character suddenly I have to make a cupcake that gotta be manly ..but deep in my heart there's a adrenalin that pomp out to say..gotta to try it, now or never...

so I took my chance, I hope they all love it...

(after I gave the cupcake, I just knew that this cupcake was joined from 8 best friend...wow that's quite intimidating how if they dislike it ckckckckkckc....) but it turn out everybody loves it...:) what a relief

I made this along with cookies order for Christmas, it's so tight schedule, i am almost can not finish it...fiuhhh thanks God i made it....with so simply bright xmas red and decorate with holly leaf..

This cupcake set was made together with dad keep workin out, but this one request from Ira lil sis for her bestfriend Linda the art teacher.

Since she taught art class for children, Ira's lil sis gave me the list what kind of things that she wants to put as the cupcake topper...

She wants crayon, pict on the frame, lil house (to represent linda's lil art house), pencil, brush for painting and beautiful girl sat on the cupcake, linda also loves pink color...

Another request from Ira, this time to surprise her Dad...she said the whole theme was to remind her father about his weight. He needs to control it since he got bypass operation last year.

Ira want to have a cake that decorate with a fat big belly man running on top the treadmill...so funny lol...

So I create the man with such a sad mimic, along with the doctor watching him running on the treadmill. For the environment, I made hand weighter and mineral water dispenser.

I am also create heart to say that his family loves him very much and all of this because they love him, with chinese letter happy birthday father.

For the cake, my friend ask me to create Surabayan layer cake...nice and very moist cake.

This cupcake for my best friend siu lil brother marriage...

I caught myself in paratyphus and my promise for making all this cupcake set...in such a weak body my mom and my sister help me to bake and arrange all the cupcake that already been decorated into each cylindric box, with roses ribbon attached on it (made by mom :) she's the best in creativity)

After 3 days struggle to make so many roses for topper, this cupcake finally ready to be delivered to the party...and my friend said it was beautiful and stunning...thanks...i am really glad...all my sickness seems to fade away...hehehehehehe

He loves Germany and tank, since i didn't have any clue about what kind of tank that he loved so my friend gave me the pictured of the cake tank from google. I never know the source...anyway I made it...

Before finishing all the carving, she reminds me to put Germany flag above the tank...and luckily my mom have stock at home fiuuuh...so I did not have to search for it...specially since my time runs up....but thanks God I finally made it ...

Nio that's the cute new baby girl name...she's first daughter of my college...her face looks really like her father hehehehe...

Her mommy Vira asked me to prepare monthly box with red egg as a gift for all her family friends that congrats her for new born baby girl. (it's part of Chinese tradition from my friend parental family)

So I pick up a theme a little baby girl with BIG milk bottle...hehehheehhee

I tried to finish all the detail, it's shocked me since it took longer time that I first thought hmmm...almost not finished but finally i made it...thanks for my mom n dad that help me to arrange it inside the box and wrap it with the cute pinky ribbon plus sticker with the blessing words from Nio dear parents.

This cake made when my birthday, since now I could made by my own so I started to find a good idea...and this is it...

This cake inspired by Maisie Parish cake, she use doggy and since I love bear, I change it hehehehhe.... the bear playing around the alphabet that represent my own name, very fun just like when I made it...

This is also the first cake that I finally could make sharp edge around the cake...so awesome...with the help of 2 smoother ...everything goes smooth hehehehhe ( initially I need almost 45 minutes to make it sharp...beginner skill lol)

The base cake was chocolate with choco ganache...so yummy even my rabbit also love it hehehehehe i guess both of us a REAL CHOCO LOVERS

This is my first time carving cake..

My senior high school friend asked me if I could make a bowl of noodle cake for her birthday before she married and since she had an acute gastronomic problem it's been a while for her to enjoying noodle as one of her favorite meals. She was inspired by my previous cupcakes topper, a bowl of noodle...

And somehow I said to her why didn't you make it as a noodle box ...(crazy idea) and she said up to me...she believes me, so I try my best to fulfill her wish and my crazy idea...so this is it...I hope this one nail it hehehehheeh...

This cupcake made for my fren at Singapore first daughter, her name Chloe. Her mom order it to celebrate her 2nd birthday.

The idea was simple yet sweet, she loves to eat pudding and sweet, and as a little girl she loves pink..so I put everything as in my mind to this cupcake set.

In the end of arranging all the stuff, I decide to add noodle bowl and the parents face to make it more alive hehehehehhe...

I hope they were satisfied as me the creator...happy b'day Chloe I wish u became smart girl and diligent too so your mommy can have another baby to accompany you hehehehehe

Cupcake Surprise for Ira Mom's

Ira was my schoolmate, she's very smart and humble friends for me (always since highschool until now). Once she heard that I am starting my own homemade online bakingshop, she offer herself to be my early customer. She wishes me that one day I could have my own baking store hehehehehe..

Her sister gave an idea to make bakcang (Chinese dish) since their mother b'day eventually nearby the dragon boat celebration.

To make it more edgy, I add few branches of mei hua flower and bakpao, plus Chinese letter that have the same meaning with Mama happy b'day in English.

So I hope you like it Ira's..just like my mom's.. she loved the red color (important color in special Chinese celebration for almost any big occasion).

This order came from my ex senior at my second company, few years ago hehehhehehe.

She want to give a surprise gift to her best friend at Bandung, since she told me at Tuesday night, I decide to change it to roll cake cover with fondant, with the baby sat on top the cake.

The baby boy called Michael, so she requesting a word "Welcome Baby Michael" .

In such short period, I decide to make design with baby blue color as the base and add baby bottle as the accessories. After work hour, I went home immediately to bake a cake and prepare my tools to decorate it. The cake base was vanilla with blueberry filling, then cover it with buttercream and follow by nice white fondant.

For a beginner, it's quite tough to cover a cake alone. Thanks God after spend whole night without sleeping at all, I manage to finished the cake and delivered on time at 9.00 am saturday morning.

I hope they like my creation Medi, thanks for ordering it.

Finally i have a chance to meet Mrs. Fondant = Mrs. Monica Tan. She came from Surabaya to held 1 day fondant course...

She taught us...from how to cover a cake...and how to fix things when we met an obstacle when we're covering a cake. I think the way she taught us step by step like that quite awesome. Regardless her tight schedule, without hesitation she taught us more than supposed to be...

In 1 day, we learn how to make :

Sugar paste - fondant.
Gum Paste
Glue Gum - essential for attaching figurine body
Make a basic yet important decoration : bow, lace, flower, leaf, rose, figurine...
Some of us ask her how to use the patchwork tools that we bought from her...hehehehehe

Although, i do admit that this cake still have so many weakness...i'm proudly to upload my cake pic in the blog..so please enjoy it as much as i am....the high spirit cakes learner.

Holiday Festive Cookies

My favorite cookies since i could remember the taste of cookies... my mom's always bake it for our family during Chinese holiday festive...

This cookies has a very special taste to me, it has a very strong milk flavor in it...and i always carving for it wherever i am... (specially the one that combine with xtra chocolate + nut within it)...

Somehow it's already became some sort of ritual in my family during the festive hehehehehe the whole fams gathered together and bake this cookies, plus cookies tester moment ===> make for about 4 batch, ended up only 2,5 batch for the guess :)

Today finally (in my tight schedule) I skip my job for a while to try this recipe...soes...
My sis love this so much...she eat 2 at once....so when i saw the chef in TV make it...so I encourage myself to try it...

And whalaaaaaaaaaa....i made it (thx God the recipe really work out, not fraud as most cooking prog did)

SOES
recipe from all sources

125 gr Margarin
125 gr All Purpose Flour
250 ml water
1 tbs sugar
3 large eggs

How to Bake :

Boil the water, sugar and margarin until it dissolve, then pour the flour into it (do it few times).
Mix it until the dough smooth n clear (no longer stick to the pan)
Remember to use the smallest fire.
Wait until the dough cool enough, for about 10 minutes then just mix in the eggs, use mixer to make sure it's mix well enough.
Then squeeze it on to the pan that already applied with butter.
Bake it with top n bottom fire at the same time at 220°C for about 20-25 minutes.

SOES VLA
recipe from all sources

250 ml milk
80 gr sugar
80 gr cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1 large egg
Rhum and Vanilla extract

How to Make :

Mix all the ingredient except the egg into one pot, until it mix well.
Stir it until it become thicker then put it off from the stove, add in the rhum, vanilla extract and the egg.

For the topping :
You may add chocolate or cheese to bring out the flavour.

American Rissoles with Cheese

In this long weekend, i wanna try something that easy n quite mouth watering...the famous american rissoles ...yeah.

With my mum crepes maker, it so easy make rissoles skin. Since it fresh, the textures very smoot,h so it's easy to be folded. (no more crack or strange smell anymore)

For the filing i use chicken ham, cheese, cutted boiled egg and mayonnaise ( i add a bit condensed milk into it to reduce the sour taste).

Lime Cupcakes

I have plenty time to spend this weekend. (actually i have something else to do but i felt so lazy to work on it) = sory boss... i just don't have the 'mood'

So i decided to try to fulfill my best friend request..to bake a lemon cake...instead of using ordinary cakes mould, i used muffin cup hehehehe.

The recipe very easy n simple, yet the texture quite nice and the taste so yummy...my mom luv it.

Lime Cupcakes
from : 500 cakes by Susannah Blake

INGREDIENT:

3 large eggs
170 gr butter at room temperature (i used 120gr instead)
140 gr self raising flour (don't like it, so i change it to multipurpose flour)
140 gr caster sugar
finely grated zest and juice of 2 limes (skip the grated zest and only add 1 lime + 2 Tbs milk)

HOW TO BAKE :

Beat the butter and sugar at speed 3 (hand mixer) until it creamy and pale.
Beat in the egg, one at the time.
Sift the flour over the top and fold in. (speed 1)
Then stir the lime zest and juice.
Preheat the oven to 180'C, bake for 50 mins (since i put in the muffin cup, it's only need about 20 mins) + 1-2 mins to make the cakes surface a bit crispy.

Serves 9 (cup solo momma)=> but i'm using ordinary paper cup & result 10 cupcakes...smart me

After the cakes cool enough, i decorated it with my new 'beard curly' pattern (thx chubbykitchen)

Well so far quite good, but the taste still far beyond my expectation....My assumption that's bcoz i haven't find a good pastry recipe.

It was yesterday...our family celebrated my elder sis b'day....
For a gift, she's ordering 60 cupcakes from me :) for a beginner like me it was a big momentum and yet thrilled. I was so worried that the ingredient that i've been prepared not enough or spilled over...sigh.

Lucky me, i have a versatile mom...she gave me BIGHELP that i really need it (thx mom)

The idea is anything that taste chocolate (she's chocomaniac) and don't too much butter cream (she's kinda dislike it), yet elegant (lil bit girly if i can say)

So i decided to make steam brownies (brokus in indonesian), coz the cake very easy to make and have a very smooth texture...and once u bite it u will love the chocolate sensation in your mouth.

For the decoration, i picked cherry blossom... (thx for the inspiration siu) and roses.
